Every September, the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) partners with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to celebrate National Recovery Month. The goals of Recovery Month are to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use issues, as well as to celebrate the more than 23 million Americans living in recovery every day.
All month long, we’ll be celebrating the lives and families saved by recovery through treatment courts. If there’s one thing we’ve learned by working with alumni, it’s that they possess a motivation to succeed in their own recovery and to help others that’s difficult to match.
We want to hear from you! Tell us what you are up to during Recovery Month and look for your event to be shared on NADCP social media.
