NADCP’s Annual Training Conference offers more than 30 tracks and hundreds of hours of education. This year, NADCP is pleased to offer a record number of new tracks and sessions, including a new track designed for law enforcement.

Protect and Serve: How Law Enforcement is Transforming the American Criminal Justice System offers law enforcement personnel 13 sessions on a range of critical topics including:

• The Opioid Crisis: How Law Enforcement and Public Health Professionals Work Together to Save Lives
• Advances in Criminal Justice and How They Impact Policing
• Tall Cop Says Stop: High in Plain Sight – Current Drug, Addiction and Impairment Trends, presented by Officer Jermaine Galloway

We ask all treatment court professionals to share this information with their law enforcement colleagues.

Additional new conference sessions include:

• Brian Cuban, author of The Addicted Lawyer, will share his recovery story and how his two brothers, including Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, tried to help him even when he was unable and unwilling to help himself.
• For the first time ever, NADCP will present a session track designed for treatment court graduates working in the field. Topics include: effective ways to tell your recovery story, how to start an alumni network and graduates as a resource to the court.
• Conference attendees can benefit from new session tracks on leadership and self-care. Sessions share effective leadership practices, strategies for developing a healthy work-life balance and methods for dealing with second-hand trauma.
