NADCP is looking for energetic and knowledgeable treatment court professionals to join us on the road as facilitators or specialized presenters.

If you are comfortable with public speaking and leading group facilitation, we want you!

Facilitators

Facilitators lead treatment court teams through 1 to 3 day NADCP and divisional trainings across the country, and possess a combination of subject-matter expertise and presentation skills. Facilitators must have a deep understanding of Best Practices Standards and how to apply them to a treatment court program.

  • Required Skills

    • Minimum of 2 years actively working in the treatment court field or retired and keeping current on the latest research and applications
    • Deep understanding of the 10 Key Components of Drug Courts and Adult Drug Court Best Practice Standards Vol. I & II

  • Responsibilities

    • Lead group facilitation
    • Present on discipline or topic specific subjects
    • Write report following trainings
    • Follow NADCP messaging standards
    • Communicate with NADCP in a timely manner
    • Book travel by set deadlines
    • Submit reimbursements by set deadlines
    • Update NADCP of any changes in position

  • Application Process

    • Submit a cover letter
    • Submit resume
    • Complete application
    • Provide three references
    • Preference will be given to individuals who have attended NADCP training including the national conference
    • NADCP will review the application and notify applicants if they pass the first evaluation

Specialized Presenters

Specialized presenters work in fields relevant to treatment courts and provide NADCP and its divisions with subject-matter expertise for webinars, in-person training and consultation. Topic areas may include toxicology, medication assisted treatment, substance use, mental health, addiction sciences, research, and criminal justice.

    • Actively working in a specialized field or retired and keeping current on the latest research and applications

    • Provide evaluations from past speaking engagements
    • Preference will be given to individuals who have attended NADCP training including the national conference
    • NADCP will review the application and notify applicants if they pass the first evaluation
