American University, in partnership with the Bureau of Justice Assistance, is hosting a webinar on successful applications for the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program.

Hosted by BJA Policy Adviser Gregory Torain, the webinar will review the 2019 grant solicitation, provide an explanation of grant regulations and answer specific questions from participants.

The webinar begins March 7 at 2 p.m. Eastern and is FREE to the public.

About the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program

The Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant program provides financial and technical assistance to states, state courts, local courts, units of local government and Native American tribal governments to implement and enhance treatment courts.

Grants are available in the following categories:

  • Implementation: $500,000 for 48 months
  • Enhancement: $500,000 for 36 months
  • Statewide: A total of $2,000,000 for two subcategories of funding for 48 months

Treatment court models eligible for funding include: adult drug courts, veterans treatment courts, DWI courts, tribal healing to wellness courts and co-occurring courts.
