What about your Drug Court Team are you most proud of? When a specific discipline is not present at staffing, their ideas thoughts and values are still factored into addressing issues with the participant and the needs of the program.
What has been your biggest challenge this year? Developing a client relevant incentive program with little or no resources.
How has your membership in the NADCP helped your team? UNLIMITED access to resources to problem solve and address changing needs of program.
How have NADCP/NDCI trainings improved your court? I have the luxury of borrowing ideas from other programs and tweaking them to improve our program.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? Reading, working out, gardening, and traveling
How has your work in Drug Court impacted your life? I am a better person for myself and for my family. It helps me appreciate everyday things that I used to take for granted.
What has been you favorite NADCP conference moment? Opening Ceremony in Washington DC when Martin Sheen was there. I found out 5 minutes before we went out that I was going to be the first person on stage.
Tell us about your most memorable Drug Court experience: Everyday is a memorable day because I have had a hand in giving someone a chance to move past their past and have a better future.
