Cultural Proficiency in Drug Court
Cultural competency is of critical importance in Drug Court. Drug Court teams and the participants they serve should be reflective of community demographics and their jurisdiction’s arrestee population.
NADCP is committed to ensuring that Drug Courts have the proper resources and training available to work towards cultural proficiency. The National Drug Court Institute, in partnership with the National Development & Research Center, has developed a training curriculum that specifically addresses the special challenges faced by minorities in Drug Court.
