Years in Drug Court: One year in Hawaii and about four years in Guam

What about your Drug Court Team are you most proud of? The fact that we have Drug Courts that work very well in every single county in our State.

What has been your biggest challenge this year? Making appropriate personal business decisions in this very volatile economic environment.

How has your membership in the NADCP helped your team? It has gotten us more involved in the Drug Courts here in Hawaii similarly to the way my team was involved when I lived and worked on Guam.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? Cycling/scuba diving/underwater photography

How has your work in Drug Court impacted your life? It has made me far more aware of the extremely adverse impact drugs have on our society and exactly how effective and cost efficient Drug Courts are for our communities and Nation.

What has been you favorite NADCP conference moment? Having the opportunity to be part of our presentation group on the success of the Guam Juvenile drug court during an annual conference some years ago.

Tell us about your most memorable Drug Court experience: My numerous opportunities to participate in juvenile drug court programs and graduations on Guam and here in Hawaii and to listen to the numerous testimonies concerning changed lives and what Drug Court has done to improve the overall quality of life for so many people.
