Doug Fieger, lead singer of The Knack, will speak and perform at the opening ceremony. The album Get the Knack, including the unforgettable “My Sharona”, was one of the greatest commercial musical successes of all time. Mr. Fieger will be joined by Elliot Easton, lead guitarist for The Cars, whose single “Drive” was a smash hit in 1984.
Melanie Griffith, one of the leading actors of our time, will deliver remarks at the closing ceremony. Melanie Griffith has conquered the entertainment world, winning rave reviews for her roles in film, television, and on Broadway.

Wednesday, May 28, 2008 Day 1: Skills-Building Workshops
Wednesday, May 28, the conference opens with over twenty-five Skills-Building Workshops. Each Workshop runs from three to six hours in length, and offers skills-building in topics ranging from "Confidentiality" to "Motivational Interviewing" to "Contingency Management." Skills-Building Workshops will be held from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon and from 2:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. There is no additional cost to attend these sessions.
Thursday, May 29, 2008 Day 2: Opening Session, Concurrent General Sessions, Networking Luncheon, and Training Tracks
Day 2 opens with a salute to the wonderful work of drug court professionals around the world. Following the Thursday Opening Session, attendees can select from twenty-four specialized tracks, each containing from three to six sessions. Day 2 will also offer a Networking Luncheon, followed by four concurrent general sessions by some of the finest speakers in the fields of law and substance abuse. Day 2 will end with the opportunity for professionals to problem solve in discipline-specific peer groups. And you won't want to miss the surprise Thursday evening entertainment!
Friday, May 30, 2008 Day 3: Friday Opening Session, Concurrent General Sessions, and Training Tracks
Day 3 continues the high energy of Days 1 and 2 with a powerful Friday Opening Session, followed by the continuation of the twenty-four specialized tracks, and another four concurrent general sessions.
Saturday, May 31, 2008 Day 4: Closing Session, Concurrent General Sessions, and Training Tracks
You won't want to go home! On Saturday, the conference closes with the final four concurrent general sessions, the final sessions of the twenty-four specialized tracks, and a powerful Closing Session you will never forget.
