I graduated the Drug Court program in September of 2008. At first I was real resistant about agreeing to the terms. But after seeing what path I chose for myself I knew that accepting Drug Court would be the best choice I ever made. I'm still an active member of the Drug Court Alumni. I also work for a recovery home in Cottonwood, AZ. I will have 3 years of sobriety on February 22, 2010. Drug Court has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. I have held one job for 3 years now & I have great relationships with all my family which I never had. However the best part is I get to give back what was so freely given to me, I get the opportunity to help others in their recovery which is what Drug Court taught me. Without this program, I would not be the person I am today. Drug Court is the reason thousands of Americans have had a chance to get their lives back to normal. It costs a lot less to put someone through Drug Court than to send them to prison and it is very beneficial not only for themselves but for everyone they know. I will be forever grateful for Drug Court and how it changed my life, and so is my family.
